AIPMA is organizing the 7th Exhibition & Seminar PLASTIVISION INDIA 2007 at Mumbai from 6-10 December 2007.

AIPMA IS DEDICATED TO THE DEVELOPMENT AND GROWTH OF THE PLASTIC INDUSTRY, CONTRIBUTING TO NATIONAL PROGRESS THROUGH PLASTICS.

INDIAN PLASTICS INDUSTRY – AN OVERVIEW

The Indian Plastic Industry has taken great strides. The last few decades have seen it rise to the position of a leading force in the country with a sizeable base. The industry itself is growing at a fast pace and the per capita consumption of plastics in the country has increased manifold as compared to the earlier decade.

Plastics has undoubtedly gained notable importance in every sphere of activity. It has substituted and saved scarce natural resources. It is an inseparable part of our daily life.

Constant developments in polymer technology, processing machineries, know how and cost effective production is fast replacing conventional materials in every segment with plastics.

  • India ranks 8th in the world with per capita consumption of 4.1 kg. which is likely to increase to 6 kgs. by March 2007, if availability of polymers is not a constraint.
  • Polymers demand in India may touch 7 million tonnes by 2007 and may reach a figure of 10 million tonnes by 2010-11. India is expected to be the third largest consumer of polymers after US and China by that time.
  • Growth rate expected between 12% to 14%, consistently out performing GDP.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Dear Exhibitor,

Last decade has seen explosion of plastics consumption in India.

From work horse like plastic carry bags to sophisticated components in space carriers has been a significant journey. World over newer applications are being introduced with active thrust from plastics raw material manufacturers with able support from processing machinery and mould manufacturers.

All this progress will be at display in 7th Plastivision India 2007, a mega Exhibition being organized by the AIPMA at Bombay Exhibition Centre from 6-10 December 2007.

BEC Complex has been fully renovated and Air Conditioned for a total comfort of Exhibitors as well as visitors.

Total capacity of 3 halls is around 40,000 sq.mtrs. and the opportunity should be grabbed by manufacturers of:

  • Plastics Raw Materials
  • Intermediate raw materials such as colour masterbatches and additive chemicals
  • Plastic processing machineries & Auxiliary equipments
  • Dies and Moulds for various applications
  • Indentors of latest foreign processing machineries and plastics raw materials to showcase advances made for innovative applications

We have pleasure in announcing the most economical prices for shell scheme and bare space with usual discounts as per details given in the attached sheet.

We are planning to segregate various segments of the exhibitors in different halls and as such have booked three halls having a combined capacity of over 40,000 sq.mtrs.

Plans will be drawn after receiving the response forms from the participants indicating their requirements of space and a token advance W Rs.300/- per sq.mtr. to back up their commitment.

While responding, we would appreciate receiving clarity on the following points:

  1. Preferred dimensions in shell scheme : Minimum 9 sq.mtrs.
  2. Preferred dimensions in Bare space : Minimum 54 sq.mtrs.

Needless to stress that due weightage will be given to those who have encouraged us with their positive response.

With regards,

Suresh J. Atre
