| AIPMA at work for saving environment |
| It has formed a very effective body to counter all misconceptions
of the general public against Plastics. AIPMA by virtue of being a
member of ICPE, plays a major role to educate general public on the
environmental friendliness of plastics. We educate the people and
industry in general on the effective use and re-use of plastics. It
also highlights the various advantages of plastics like saving energy,
physiological harmlessness and ability to reprocess.
AIPMA vigorously followed up with Justice Ranganath Mishra Committee,
the proposed ban on manufacture, use and sale of plastic carry bags
and succeeded in convincing them not to impose blanket ban on manufacture,
use and sale of plastic carry bags, which shows that now a days
committees of government is also giving due weightage to AIPMA's
voice.
